The HSBC Cares for Malta's Heritage fund was established on 4 August 2005. The objectives of the Fund are to:
setup initiatives so as to protect and enhance Malta’s heritage; and take initiatives that enhance public awareness on Malta’s heritage.

The system comprises Alwitra Solar Roofing Membrane, manufacturer of the world’s most advanced single-ply roofing system.
